Mathematic & Science Education Resource Center

Math Instructional Specialist Team formerly known as MaSST, is a statewide professional learning community convened by our Center monthly.  The team is made up of specialists from UD, the Delaware Department of Education and districts across the state, offers professional development for the professional developers and has been a valuable source of professional learning for our community for more than a decade.

Recent discussions have included the Common Core State Standards in mathematics as well as the Next Generation Science Standards.  Our focus for the 2012-2013 school year will be on providing more effective school-based support for teachers as they transition to teaching to these new standards including preparation in collaborative coaching and more effective facilitation of school-based professional learning communities.

Meetings are held in Dover, often at the Paradee Center, on the first Friday of every month from September through June.

If you are interested in joining, please contact Tom Fernsler at 831-2303.
